He watches my back, making sure the cheese on the cassasrole doesn't burn, and is always ready to explain the math or physics I need but don't have course access to.
He's there to explain the eigenvalue aproximation in the schrodinger equation. He listens to me rant about chem's boys condescending treatment of my dilution skills, and the intracies of my complex 36 solution lab, trying to offer his own take on just why the data deviated from Beer's law. I remember why I want to stand by him through the ups and downs. Life is still that complicated tangle of obstacles, choices and disappointments that only an idealist can tear up about, but I can justify my choice on this matter, smiling softly as the dawn embraces the sky.
