Choose to live today for a minute, choose to be alive.

I don't think the way to live is having to leave the important stuff for years. I can understand perhaps weeks or months, but sacrificing something for *years*. If it's truly important, is it possible at all?
I don't mean going without, but *choosing* to go without. Say spirituality, friendship, or even comic books.
I think one should try to incorporate the important into daily life (or weekly, or monthly).
Some people call this balance, other's call it slacking.
Sometimes, best results are given through intensity, in which case interests can be switched out. Say going from photography to painting or cooking. But even in this case, the interests all hold the same function... to make us whole, make our universe more lush and bigger...
